William (Bill) Johnson II passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021, at his home in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
Bill was born to William and Sophie Johnson on June 13, 1950, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Bill enjoyed a long-lasting career in television broadcasting, where he learned numerous skills such as camera operation, lighting, and directing. Bill’s broadcasting career had taken him all around the country and enabled him to form many great lifelong friendships. Bill eventually settled at Channel 4 in Denver, Colorado, where he ran cameras for the morning news broadcast and Denver Bronco games. Bill retired from Channel 4 in 2010 and moved to his dream property in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, the last Stop Ranch.
Bill was a man of many talents, a loving father, the family patriarch, avid motorcycle racer, drag racer, hunter, and storyteller.
Bill is survived by his son Bryan (Sarah) Johnson of Divide, Colorado, his brother Mike Johnson, his sisters Theresa Orlando and Rose Johnson, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a viewing at Mountain Memorial Home, 51 County Rd. 5, Divide, CO, on Saturday, September 11th, from 2:00 p.m to 3 p.m.
There will be a celebration of Bill’s life at the Lost Dutchman Resort, 382 Trout Haven Rd., Florissant, CO, on Saturday, October 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
