Wayne Dickson Obituary

Wayne Cannon Dickson, age 57, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday, August 9, 2021.  Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for his family, friends and community.  He was born in Denver, Colorado and lived in Florissant, Colorado for decades.

Wayne is survived by his beautiful wife, Brenda.  He was a proud father to two sons, Eirik Dickson (wife Brandy) and Charlie who remains at home with his wife.  Wayne is also survived by his loving parents, Bette and Don Dickson, his paternal Grandmother Shirley Serison, step-Grandfather Larry Serison, brother Russel Dickson, sister-in-law Zerah Malone and nephew Ambrose Dickson.  Additionally, Wayne is survived and mourned by his many friends connected to his passionate volunteer work with the National Child Abuse Defense & Resource Center (NCADRC) over the past 20 years.

Outside of his family and friends, Wayne’s volunteer work was a central part of his existence as he helped in the education of thousands of attorneys, doctors and mental health professionals at NCADRC’s yearly International Conferences held in various locations in the United States.

Wayne also operated his Knee Deep Ranch with various animals as well as being self-employed as a transit driver for many years.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the family and can be found under the search button “Wayne Dickson Family Fundraiser” if you would like to make a donation.
