Theresa Treadway

Theresa Mabel Ellen Treadway (Babe), 94, of San Miguel, New Mexico, died peacefully Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Theresa, also known as Babe, was born in San Miguel county of New Mexico on October 23, 1928 to Alva C. La Rue and Myrtle E. Griephan. She was raised by her grandparents and learned the value of sewing and baseball through them. Through that Theresa became an avid Cubs Fan and an Artist of many types. Her muse was art, and she was happiest doing paintings of all sorts, quilting, weaving or sewing. Her calling was to love Jesus and through that she became a devoted sister. Her later years were spent with family in Colorado, being creative and listening to baseball games on one of her radios.  

Survived by her children Jeanne Treadway of Dixon, Kathleen (Larry) Hannappel of Woodland Park and Stephanie Hobrock (Treadway) of Virginia; Grandchildren, Stacy Hannappel, Travis Rock and Samantha Hannappel; Great Grandchild Bryston; Friends JB and Amado Pena, Virginia Apodaca, and Joyce.

Services will be held privately in New Mexico.
