Terry Dale Rook, 74, passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs with his family by his side. Terry was born on January 12, 1951, in Cloquet, Minnesota to Pearl and Henry Rook. He was married to Joan Schlegel on December 7, 1975, in Englewood, Co.
Terry went to South High School in Denver, CO and attended Pikes Peak Community College. Officially Retired from the US Army in 1970 (1978). He worked various jobs before moving to Mount Evans then moved to Webber Park, Tarryall in Lake George and lived off grid for 6 years. The family moved to Florissant in 1985.
Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, horseback riding and other outdoor activities. He was a sharpshooter; Special Forces Green Beret and escaped P.O.W. from Vietnam.
Terry loved his family. It was the most important thing in his life. He was loyal and caring to his friends. He also loved animals and had a big heart.
He is survived by his wife Joan Rook, Daughter LaKeisha Rook, Grandchildren Camron Rook (Maddison), Remington Rook-Rutherford, and Addison Plutt. Also, his great granddaughter Oaklynn Rook, and Nephew Colin Rook.
He was proceeded in death by his twin brother, Michael Rook and his parents.
Memorial will be Sunday October 5th at 3:00pm. Little Chapel of the Hills in Divide.
