Terry Lee Hoffman

Terry Lee Hoffman, a long-time member of the Woodland Park community, passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-eight in his home on Thursday, July 19, 2023.

Terry was born in Des Moines, Iowa where he graduated from East High School and later obtained his pilot’s license with instrument rating from Sierra Academy of Aeronautics in Atwater, CA. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He met his wife, Patricia, while he worked at Sherwin-Williams Paint and they were both attending Drake University in Des Moines. They married and had two children, Bruce, and Bridget, and moved to California where he worked as a warehouse worker until retiring from a back injury, after which he and Pat moved to Woodland Park. He loved baseball, basketball, wrestling
and family hiking in northern California.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother Garnett Greenhalgh-Young and beloved wife Pat, who passed away in 2022.

Terry will be missed by his daughter Bridget Hoffman, devoted fellow-cat lover Bernie Smith, cousin Melody Connett, and many friends near and far.
