Terry Barber Obituary

Terry Ray Barber "T-Bear" passed away in his home peacefully Friday, April 14, 2017 in Woodland Park, Colorado.

 

Terry was born in Cheverly, Maryland on December 25, 1946 to Wilfred Allen Barber " Wes" and Helen Louise Barber " Weezie". He is survived by his 4 brothers Allen, Charlie, Jerry Barber and Bob Wright. 1 sister Cheryl Posey as well as their spouses.

 

Survived by Ex-Wife and Mother of his children Judy L. Barber-Roullard, His 2 daughters Rachel Renee Barber-Wycoff from San Tan Valley, Arizona and Jamie Lyn Barber-Dennee from Apache Junction, Arizona as well as their husbands Larry Wycoff and Cass Dennee. 5 grandchildren, Dezorae, Dakoda, and Cassadee Dennee. Maegan and Colton Wycoff. 2 great-grandchildren Ayden and Jacob Martinez. Terry was predeceased in death by his Father Wes Barber and his Mother Weezie Barber.

 

Terry graduated from Duval High School in Bowie, MD in 1965. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965 and served as a first lieutenant until May 1972. Terry Retired from the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind in 1997 where he spent many years as Santa Claus for the Deaf and Blind students and held a Toy Run for them. He was a member of the HOG club. A long time member of ABATE. He Organized the Senior Citizen "Silver Key Run" until 2012 and received several awards for his service to the community.

He was a long time resident of Woodland Park Colorado for over 40 years. " The community of Sunnywood Manor mourns the passing of their Sunnywood Lane Sheriff and will forever be grateful for his love and generosity."

 

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21st from 1pm-3pm at The Smokehouse Restaurant- 720 Browning Ave Woodland Park, Co. 80863. A celebration of his life and potluck will be held at the Woodland Park Senior Center - 321 Pine St Woodland Park, Co. 80863 from 3pm-5pm. All who knew and loved him are welcome.

 

We would like to share our Dad's Code for Life. He believed life was about Respect, Discipline, Honesty, Loyalty, and most of all LOVE.
