Teneka June Potter-Sansom of Florissant, Co Passed away in her home with her loving husband by her side on October 21, 2022, at the age of 73. She was born October 25, 1948, in her home in Johntown Texas to James Howard Potter and Jimmie Aldridge Potter.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 50 years, Retired Sgt First Class Robert John Sansom Jr, 5 children, Andy D’Wayne , Micah Michelle, Robert John III, John-Patrick and Trevor Alexander along with 7 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in dead by both of her parents and both of her brothers Roy Glen and just last week Carlus Neal Potter.
Teneka will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Teneka loved all her fur babies Monster Baby, Lucy Lu and Dee Dee, loved to cook and try new recipes all the time.
Teneka attended Drury University where she obtained a degree in secondary education
Teneka loved to quilt, do wool appliqué, longarm quilting and hand stitching, even if she wasn’t feeling well, she would sit watch tv and hand stich on something. She was a member of the hand sewing groups that got together to sew and chat. She also was a member of the local Quilt Guild Quilters Above the Clouds
Teneka will be missed by many people and was loved and touched the hearts of more people than she could ever know.
