Obituary

Sylvia Ortega, Age 62, unexpectedly passed away from complications of liver disease in Colorado Springs on the morning of September 10, 2022.

She was born on June 25, 1960 and raised in Midland, Texas to parents Pablo and Paula Sanchez. The youngest, but loudest, of 17 siblings she always made sure to make an impact on the lives she touched. This light in her would show to shine the brightest on March 15, 1999 at The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, NV where she wed the love of her life, John Ortega. Together they would create a life filled with love, faith, and dedication. In this, they turned a house into a home where she was able to freely express her hardworking, creative spirit. While not religious, she was a God loving woman of faith who relied on the power of prayer to get her through the days... along with sarcasm and humor.

Sylvia is survived by her soulmate and husband, John Ortega, her two daughters, Felicia Paradeis and Salina Locke, and six grandchildren: Seleste, Karmin, Albert, Kriel, Kivahn, and Nicco.
