Sven Christopher Henson

Sven Christopher Henson, 47, of Colorado Springs, passed away on December 2nd, 2025 after suffering a pulmonary embolism in his home. 

Sven was born September 14th, 1978 to William and Christa Henson in Hahn, Germany.  He graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1996 and went on to study literature at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley before returning to Colorado Springs. 

In 2008, Sven met Vanessa Bailey while working in a microchip processing plant in which he dedicated twenty-five years of his life.  They fell in love fast, became instantly inseparable, and later welcomed their daughter Aroura Bailey-Concialdi whom he referred to as his sweet pea.  His “girls” were his everything and together they created a life and family based on true love and respect.  They were able to survive the hardest trials life threw their way.  He secretly loved his cat Dude, but would rarely admit it. 

Sven grew up with two siblings, Tanja and Sascha Henson.  As a child he was often found tagging along with his dad and earned the nickname “little fella” from the GIs on the military base.  He spent much of his time playing Rambo in the woods behind their house in Westcreek, riding his dirt bike, and camping.  Stories including his chosen brothers Chuck Eberhart and Jason Livingston were a common topic of conversation displaying his true pride in the love he had for his people. 

When asked of his religion he would claim Buddhism, stating that he was, “as good a Buddhist as most Christians are Christian.”  He enjoyed reading; music, Legos, Football (go Broncos), Nascar (go 88), Hockey, basketball, and soccer.  He was rarely seen without a hat aside from special occasions.  He was a very hardworking and loving man with an amazing and sometimes crass and sarcastic sense of humor.  His smile would heal any wounds and brighten your day. 

Sven is survived by; his wife Vanessa and daughter Aroura, his father William, his siblings Tanja and Sascha, his nieces and nephews Alex; Andrew, Alex, Jordyn, John, Serenity, Gabriel, Luke, Declan, and Michelle, his mother and father-in-law Lawrence and Michelle, his sisters in law Ginger and Serena, his loyal cat Dude, many family members in Germany, and too many wonderful friends to mention.  Sven was predeceased by Leah (Sherman) Cabrera (his first love); his mother Christa (Rauch) Henson, his uncle and godfather Manfred, his uncle Bob, and his beloved childhood pets Finn(dog) and KC (cat) among others. 

No services are planned at this time.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/9bc6bcec2) in hopes to fund a proper service, but would like to welcome friends and family to spread his ashes regardless, date pending. 

Sven Henson, you made an incredible impact on so many lives.  The world lost a wonderful soul and your memory will live on in our stories of you.  We love you.
