Susan "Susy" (Wennerstrom) Leider

Susan Martha Wennerstrom Leider (Susy), Age 66, She passed away on August 24, 2023, of unknown causes in Manitou Spring, Colorado at her home.

She was born on February 18, 1957, in Chicago Il. She lived in Manitou Springs, Colorado for the last 42 years. Her parents are Joan Wennerstrom (maiden name Ballmaier) and James Wennerstrom (deceased).

She graduated from Mundelein High School in 1975. She worked at the Manitou Spring Starbucks as a Barista until retirement. She enjoyed the time she spent volunteering at the local library. Her main hobbies were working in her garden, reading, watching wildlife, and loved her Hummingbirds.  She enjoys watching and supporting Chicago sport teams and always had Golden retrievers as her favorite pets.

She is survived by her mother Joan Wennerstrom; her sister Laurie Grinnell, brother in-law Michael Grinnell; her brother Steven Wennerstrom, Nephew Michael Grinnell, daughter in-law Annette Grinnell, Neice Rebecca Grinnell, son in-law Russel Reivelt, Great nephews Gavin Grinnell, Ryan Reivelt, Mathew Grinnell, niece Emma Grinnell and Aunt Wanda Wennerstrom.

She is preceded in death by her father James Wennerstrom and her sister Lisa Wennerstrom.

On Thursday August 31, 2023, a memorial service will be held at American Legion Hall at 634 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs, Colorado between the hours of 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
