Sue Ann Loop

Sue Ann Loop, 81, of Woodland Park, Colorado passed away at home on Saturday, June 5th, 2021. Sue was born April 4th, 1940 to John and Lillian (Bonnett) Cook in Belvue, KS. Sue was 1 of 8 children. Her Brothers were Bud, Leroy, George, Freddy and Wayne Cook, Sisters, Alberta Colson, and Peggy Mae Cook.

Sue met the love of her life Chancey (Slim) Loop in 1960. They were married on March 9th, 1963. They had one son, Gregory Aaron Loop. They Moved to Woodland Park Colorado in April 1963.  Sue and Slim operated an Excavation business for almost 50 years.  She also owed a craft and bookstore. She also worked at the Rampart School.

Sue was an amazing craftswoman. She loved to work with wood, quilt, and sew. She loved art and liked to paint. One of her favorite hobbies was antiquing, and she had quite the collection. Sue loved to garden and could grow almost anything. Sue really enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and riding her 4-wheeler or snowmobile.

Sue had a wonderful personality. She loved jokes and had a very good sense of humor. She was very honest and never really beat around the bush, she would tell you exactly what was on her mind. Sue truly cared about the people in her life and would do anything for them.

Sue is survived by husband Slim, Sister-in-law Roberta (Bobby) Cook. Daughter (in-law) Tracey Loop, Nieces; Terrie Griffin, Shelly and (husband) Jason Mattice, Grandchildren; Ty, Zac and (wife) Jenny Loop, Great Grandchildren; Summer, Christine, Chancey and Lando, Great Nieces; Charlene Mattice and her son Joshua, Shawna and (Husband) Dylan Thoe, their Sons Brixton and Deegan, Great nephew; Caleb Mattice, two wonder dogs; Dink and Trinket, and one dirty cat, Natty.

Sue will be missed greatly by all.

There will be a Memorial service for Sue at 11am Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at the Lost Dutchman Resort, 382 Trout Haven Rd, Florissant, CO 80816.
