Steven Robert Harnish

Steven Robert Harnish, age 61, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home in Woodland Park. 

Steve was born June 30, 1959 in Colorado Springs to William and Patricia Harnish. In junior high and high school, he loved playing sports, particularly basketball and football.  Steve graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1977 and went on to run the family painting business for many years.  Steve was a Colorado native and loved the mountains, hiking, his family and friends, and he had a special love for dogs, especially big dogs.  He was fun loving and spontaneous and could make you laugh with his quick wit. He was very generous, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.  He was often late to important family events, but always came through somehow, blowing in like the wind.  He always managed to show up just when you needed a shoulder to lean on. 

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Bill Harnish, his mother Patricia Harnish-Barrett, and his beloved sister in law Vicki Harnish.

He is survived by his brothers, Will Harnish (Kayla) Lake George, John Harnish (Lisa), Colorado Springs, sister, Caroline Pyle (Todd), Florissant, stepmom, Patience Brooks, Divide, stepbrothers, Lonny Barrett, Colorado Springs, Sean Alvarez, Colorado Springs, Scott Alvarez, Florida, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He also leaves behind his English Mastiff, Blitz, who loved him dearly.

Steve's family will have a small gathering in his is honor, the date and time yet to be determined.
