It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing Steven Wade Gorman, aged 73, of Victor, Colorado. Born on December 12th, 1951 to Dorothy Howerton Gorman and Harold Wade Gorman, Steve grew up in Colorado Springs, CO.
Steve was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his two sons, Todd and Chad and their children, Chloie, Emma, Ryan, and Caroline. As well as his 2 sisters Melinda Rasnick and Joanne Crabb and their children, Paul Crabb, Benjamin Crabb, and Garrett Rasnick.
Steve will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a storyteller, a teacher, a protector, and the keeper of campfire traditions and mountain wisdom.
He was also the kind of man who would help you fix anything — and if he didn’t know how, he’d roll up his sleeves and figure it out. A quiet learner, a humble teacher, and a dependable friend, he gave his time freely and his advice gently. He asked for little in return, content with good company, and a cool beer in his koozy.
He lived simply, but loved richly — and those of us lucky enough to have known him will carry his love and his lessons with us always.
We will miss him every day, but his spirit lives on in the mountains he cherished, the family he adored, and the simple joys he taught us to treasure.
