Shirley Joann Lloyd

On January 13, 2023, Shirley Lloyd, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away at the age of 80 years young.  Shirley was born to the late Joe and Katherine Wray (Greer) on December 20, 1942 in Denver, Colorado. 

After she graduated high school in 1960, Shirley continued her education and a got a degree in nursing.  She married the love of her life George (Joe) Lloyd on December 19, 1961.  They were blessed with a son Robert in 1962 and daughter Kathy in 1964.

Shirley enjoyed spending her time with family and friends.  She loved watching grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports, show in 4-H, do demolition derbies, tough truck and whatever else they were in involved in.  She loved cows, as anyone would know, her house was filled with cows.  She also loved to plant flowers in her flower beds every year!

She was a member of the Pikes Peak Community Club and enjoyed going to her Bible study group!

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Ankrum; granddaughters, Dee (Lance) Schoendaller and Courtney (Shane) Dolan; her grandson, Casey (Jillian) Ankrum; her great-grandchildren, Shalee and Rylee Schoendaller, Jase and Waylon Ankrum; her brother, Robert (Dee) Wray and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Wray and Katherine Greer, her husband, Joe Lloyd; her sister, Roxanne Wray and her son, Robert (Jody) Lloyd.
