Ryan Doud, a beloved member of the Valley community, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2025, taken from us far too soon at the age of 42. Born on March 27, 1983, Ryan graduated from West Valley High School in 2001 and went on to build a successful career in marketing and data management. His intelligence, creativity, and dedication left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike.
He is survived by his loving parents, Sara and Scott Doud; his siblings, Alex, Megan, and Jon; his sisters-in-law, Kelly and Mackenzie; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Avery, Emerson, Forest, Wrenley, and Ainsley. Ryan also leaves behind his faithful dog, Petey, who was his constant companion and source of comfort.
Ryan’s greatest passion was cooking. He found immense joy in preparing meals for his loved ones, often experimenting with new recipes and flavors. His kitchen was a place of creativity and connection, where he brought people together over delicious food and heartfelt conversations. Beyond his culinary talents, Ryan was known for his deep love of science fiction, often immersing himself in the imaginative worlds of his favorite books and films. His sharp mind and vast knowledge made him a formidable trivia master, delighting friends and family with his quick wit and enthusiasm for learning. His deep affection for animals and unwavering commitment to spending quality time with his family further defined the compassionate and generous person he was.
Ryan’s warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire Valley community. His legacy of love, laughter, and curiosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.
Per Ryan’s request, we will be holding a celebration of life in the coming months. We will let family and friends know more information as plans are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Ryan’s memory to The Denver Hospice (thedenverhospice.org) and the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) (tcrascolorado.org), organizations that reflect his compassion for others and his love for animals.
