Rusty Anthony Obituary

He left us too early and with great haste, passing from a heart attack at the age of 64.

Born in Coleman, Michigan to Phyllis I Anthony, nee´ Mudd and Lawrence Anthony.

He is survived by his wife Cheri Anthony, his brother Rodger Anthony, and his children; Serena Selb, Amber Croft, Alex Anthony and Megan Anthony, daughter in law Brandy Anthony and son in law Luke Selb, as well as grandchildren Jacob, Jonas, Iris, Natalie, Layla, Adam, Hunter and Jackson and great grandchild Laramie.

Rusty was always on the move. He loved all kinds of motor sports, dirt biking, atv riding and any activity that involved high speeds and gasoline. He loved to fish and camp. In his free time if he was not working on one of his machines he was out riding, always with his brother, often with any of his children or grandchildren that could be brought along.

He loved animals and his home was often filled with more pets than people, and yes they have their own spots on the couch too.

Known for lending a helping hand and stepping up when others often wouldn’t he was a steady hand and shoulder to lean on for so many that knew him.

A Celebration of Life is to be held at the Ute Pass Cultural Center in Woodland Park, CO on Thursday February 10th, 5 pm.

For those that have inquired about a memorial fund there has been an account set up at ENT Credit Union in his name; The Rusty Anthony Memorial Fund #142. For those of you that have not inquired about a memorial fund but wish to honor his memory please skip rocks with a toddler, drive fast with the wind in your hair, or sneak a beloved pet a snack they definitely should not have.

May the sun rise in front of me
May the rain fall behind me
And the wind follow me
May the angels guard my travels
For they know the road ahead of me
Keep me safe through swirling turns and rolling hills
Let the eagle guide me to the mountaintops
Let the moons light guide me through the night
Lord, thank you for every moment of this life
