Robert “Bob” Lied passed away at the age of 87 on May 20th, 2024 at his home in Woodland Park, CO. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ellen, his daughter, Terri, his son, Mark, his younger brother, Gary, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Clarence, and his older sister, Dorothy. Bob and Jo were married for 65 years.
They met and were married at the University of Kansas. Go Jayhawks! After graduation, he served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant in the Armored Cavalry. Bob went on to get his MBA which served him well in the tire and automotive industry. Bob enriched the community as a member of the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he presented business education at the High School. He was an avid photographer and reader. His gentle side was so enriched by his love of music, theater, history, travel, and football. Go Chiefs! Bob will truly be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Mountain View United Methodist Church, 1101 Rampart Range Road, Woodland Park, CO 80863 on June 27, 2024 at 5 PM.
He will be inurned at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
