Robert R. Lembke

On the evening of Thursday, January 19, 2023, Robert R Lembke (60) of Woodland Park, Colorado, passed away at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, Co. Robert was born in Waukesha, WI., then raised in Florida after his divorced mother married Robert W Lembke, who adopted him and his older sister Danelle as toddlers; their union produced half-brothers John, James, and sister Diana. Later, three children were added to the family through adoption Kathy, Daryl, and Eric Lembke.

Once Robert finished high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. Robert served six years stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Denver, Colorado, where he lived most of his adult life. He met and married his wife, Mary; A few weeks into their marriage, they both graduated from Heritage Christian Bible College in Aurora, Co. They then had a son, Nicholas Isaiah (19). Robert loved the native culture and even was able to spend some time with his wife and family on the Three Affiliated Tribes in North Dakota, then returned to Colorado, a state he loved.

Robert was a commercial foreman in construction for most of his career until he was diagnosed with Leukemia; he accepted the diagnosis and turned it around as an opportunity to retire, relax and dive deep into the hobby of flying radio-controlled aircraft; he was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and Pikes Peak Radio Control Club where he flew with best friend Gary Gillis and many of his buddies.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert, brother Eric and his mother, Dorothy. His wife and son, along with all of his brothers and sisters, survive him.
