Richard John Rees Davies

Richard "Dix" John Rees Davies, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many, passed away on October 17th, 2024 in Colorado Springs at the age of 68. He was born on October 28th, 1955 in the United Kingdom.

Dix is survived by his loving wife Teresa Davies; devoted sons Joshua and Paul Davies; cherished grandchildren Jacob, Callum, and Willa; dear sister Dianna Thomas; and brother Arthur Davies.

A man of great passion for life, Richard was known as a world traveler. His adventurous spirit led him to explore countless countries across the globe with his beloved wife by his side. Whether it was hiking through the majestic mountains of Colorado or forging through the Sahara Desert, he found joy in every new experience.

In addition to his love for travel, Richard had a deep appreciation for working on his classic VW bug. He could often be found tinkering away in the garage with a smile on his face as he fine-tuned every detail of his prized possession. 

Those who knew Richard will remember him as a jovial man with a sharp wit. His laughter and humor touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The funeral service honoring Richard "Dix" John Rees Davies will be held at ST Davids Episcopal Church on Tuesday, October 22nd at 10am where family members and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life. 

May we find solace in our memories as we bid farewell to this extraordinary soul whose presence enriched our lives beyond measure.
