Rheda (Lightsey) Johnson

Rheda Lightsey Johnson went to be with the Lord on Friday September 13, 2024 in Woodland Park, Colorado at the age of 62. 

Rheda moved to Houston Texas as an infant. She attended Clear Lake schools and was active in her church and community. She entered the modeling profession as a teenager but soon discovered the artistry of makeup. Then the love bug hit. Off to Kauai Hawaii she goes where she married and started her family. Professionally she served as hospitality hostess in the tourism industry. She returned to the mainland in the 2000s where she lived until her death. 

She is survived by loving parents James and Joan Lightsey who reside in Texas. Her brother Eric Lightsey and his wife Gloria live in N Carolina. Her son James Duran Johnson and his children Lorenzo and Steffani live in Colorado, while her daughter Dana Cuesta and her husband Jorge and grandson Isaiah reside in Texas. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to local animal shelters in her memory. 

Family will hold private services at a later date.
