Raymond S. Current II

Raymond S Current II, DOB: 9/3/1948 Phoenix Arizona passed away Sunday April 20th, 2025, at his home in Woodland Park, Colorado. Ray made his career in commercial and private hotel laundries, most recently retiring from the Broadmoor Hotel as manager of guest and public dry-cleaning facilities after 18 years of professional service. After Ray retired, he was still on the move, keeping busy volunteering for the Teller County Senior Coalition Services providing transportation for our local elderly citizens. Ray continued his volunteer work following 2 separate heart attacks but was always ready with a smile and “what’s next to do” attitude until he finally had to retire completely in 2024. He is survived by his son Nicholas and grandson Micah, by his ex-spouse and his true love, Kathleen and her family, besides his love for his son, all Ray needed to be asked about was his Goldwing! Always ready with stories about he and Kathy’s travels on the bike, he was always ready at 5am in hot Phoenix summers or cold Colorado mornings. He was one of a kind guy and did and will carry a special place in anyone’s heart that had the pleasure of meeting him! Ray’s son Nicholas and fiancé Brigitte will be holding a memorial service in honor of Ray’s life on May 8th, 2025, 1-3pm located at Memorial Park in Woodland Park, Colorado.  There will be a private memorial service of cremation held by the family. Any thoughtful contributions can be made to the Teller County Senior Coalition Services.
