It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Peter (Pete) J. Bernardo on June 4, 2026 at the age of 23.

Born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, on June 22, 2002, Peter was a lifetime resident of Colorado, most of which was spent in Colorado Springs.  Peter attended Prairie Hills Elementary, Sky View Middle School, Vista Ridge High School and Pikes Peak State College.

Peter had many interests and talents.  His computer skills were evident from a young age and lead to awards in cyber security and computer technology.  He enjoyed playing computer games, building with Lego bricks; and listening to music.  Peter’s good soul was easily on display by his reciprocated love of animals.

Survived by his mother, Carrie McMullen, siblings Scott Bernardo and Carolyn Bernardo, grandmother Eileen McMullen, aunt Jean McMullen, grandfather Wade McMullen, uncles Joseph Bernardo and Steven Bernardo and numerous cousins.  Peter is preceded in death by his father, Michael A. Bernardo.

A memorial service will be held at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home in Divide, Colorado on June 22, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
