Peggy Ann Hansford

Peggy Ann Hansford, 62, of Florissant, Colorado, passed away on January 24th, surrounded by her daughters, sons and husband.

Peggy was born on July 27th, 1960, to Richard and Lucy Wise in Bryan, Ohio. Peggy graduated from Defiance High School. She also took classes at Devry university in Columbus.

Peggy worked at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold, Ohio for 29 years. She started as a tow motor operator and later moved up as a gauging and calibrations specialist. Peggy retired from Sauders in 2016.

In 1993, Peggy met Allan Hansford at Sauder Woodworking. Peggy and daughter Ashley (Alan LaCombe) joined in family with Allan and his two children, Amanda and Curtis, and went on to have their youngest son Coty together.

Peggy was a national champion barefoot water skier, artist and a musician. She enjoyed getting dirty, reaching high places and going fast! (Also wrecking things by accident)

Peggy was predeceased by her husband Alan (Jay) LaCombe in 1988, brother Steve Wise in 2021 and granddaughter Ocean (Ashley) in 2021.

She is survived by her mother and father, Lucy & Richard Wise, brother Randy Wise, husband Allan Hansford, daughters Ashley and Amanda, sons Curtis and Coty, daughter-in-law Alexis (Coty), and 10 grandchildren: Liam, Kellin, Lylah and Jay (Ashley), Aella and Oliver (Coty/Alexis), Kayden, Payton, Leah and Ryan (Amanda).

Peggy lived for her family and Jesus. She loved to test life's limits and braved through many storms. Her biggest ambition and heart’s desire was to make it to Heaven while she sang and worshiped all the way there. She took classes at Charis Bible College to build on her passion of leading others to the lord through her talent.

The family thanks you for your outpouring of love in this difficult time. Peggy’s celebration of life will be held at Charis Bible College on Friday, January 27th, at 4:00pm at "the barn."
