Patsy Stormont, of Florissant, CO was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, talented artist, and gifted organist, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Born on August 1, 1952 to the late Robert & Helen Stormont of Rockford, IL. She lived a life filled with different adventures, creativity, and service to others. In November of 1974, she made the greatest choice of all time: in the seat of her car in the Ellicott Baptist Church parking lot, she trusted Jesus as her Saviour. Her testimony for Christ has been evident ever since.
She was a longtime resident of Florissant and was involved in her community by selling her jewelry, and paintings. She was involved in her church as faithfully as she was physically able. She played the organ and piano for many years to help sing unto the Lord. She was an avid reader of books that would help her grow in her relationship to her Saviour. One of her greatest passions was in any piece of mail, she would always send a Chick Tract with the Gospel so that whoever would open it would have an opportunity to hear about Jesus Christ.
Patsy is survived by her daughter Dinah (Ron) Lenz, of Colorado Springs; her son Amos (Christina) Graham of Indianapolis, IN, 8 grandchildren Aubrianna, Gracelynn, Hadley, Reagan, Coldyn, Lincoln, Judah, and Azlynn. She is also survived by her extended family and friends.
A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at Mountain Hope Baptist Church on July 15, 2024 at 11am, followed by a reception at the church after the graveside service. She will be interred in the Florissant Pioneer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Hope Baptist Church.
Patsy will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, art, and music will continue to inspire us all.
