Patricia Viola (MacNichol) Moore

Patricia "Pat" Moore of Cripple Creek, CO passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the age of 79 following a long illness of ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

Pat was born in Amesbury, Massachusetts, and graduated from Amesbury High School in 1958. She was the only living child of Thomas and Veronica MacNichol.  

She married Stephen J. Sadowski, Jr. and they moved to Kingston, NH and raised their six children there.

Patricia was a school bus driver for the Sanborn Regional School District in Kingston, NH while her children were in school in the 1970s.

She was a “doll doctor” and had a Doll Hospital. She was very talented in repairing antique dolls from creating molds and casts to perfectly matching paint colors and airbrushing ceramic arms, legs, and heads and then sewing exquisite period gowns for the dolls.

She also tried her hand at an ice cream parlor and a Polish delicatessen. She was fond of direct sales and was often involved in product lines such as Amway and Avon. She also worked with deaf students for a few years and was trained in American Sign Language.

As an adult, Pat and her mother traveled to Communist Poland to visit relatives and sponsored a cousin to come to America in the 1970s. She was fluent in Polish.

Pat loved goats and raised a few dairy and angora cross-breeds for a time on her little farm in Vermont.

She is survived by her former husband, Stephen J. Sadowski Jr. Their children: Christopher Sadowski of Plaistow, NH, Anita Braun of Cripple Creek, CO, Joyce Okun of Spicewood, TX and Kevin Sadowski of Madbury, NH. Grandchildren: Victoria Burke of  Cripple Creek, CO, Dain Cantor of Spicewood, TX, Ariel Trua of Charleston, SC, Casandra Bernardinelli of N. Reading, MA, Dylan Sadowski of Norfolk, VA, Amber LeBlanc of Somersworth, NH, Arianna Sadowski and Colton Sadowski of Exeter, NH. Great-grandchildren: Isabelle Guzman and Colt Burke of Cripple Creek, CO, Samuel Trua of Charleston, SC, Jeremy Cantor and Jackson Cantor of Salem, NH.

She was preceded in death by her parents Veronica (Uzarek) MacNichol and Thomas MacNichol, siblings Thomas MacNichol Jr and Sylvia MacNichol. Her husbands: Joseph Moore and Joseph Chamberlain and her sons John Joseph Sadowski and Lawrence Allen Sadowski.

Interment will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Cripple Creek, CO following a private service for Patricia on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
