Patricia "Patty" Hoffman

Patricia “Patty” Hoffman was born March 29, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, and died in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on January 25, 2022 after a short illness.

She met and married her sweetheart, Terry, while they were both enrolled at Drake University in Des Moines.

She gave Terry two children, Bruce and Bridget, and the family moved to California in 1973 so that Terry could attain his amateur pilot’s license.
Patricia earned an EE degree-she was the first college graduate in her family then went to work in Silicon Valley to help support her family while raising two children.

When their children graduated from school and moved out, she and Terry bought property out in the country in Central California, and began their sanctuary for elderly and special needs cats.
Patricia was a lifelong avid reader, baker, enjoyed going on walks, crafting, gardening and volunteering in her community.

When she and Terry retired, they moved to Woodland Park, Colorado, and continued providing sanctuary for special needs cats, giving countless cats a loving home-many of whom would not have had any chance of getting adopted or surviving on their own.

Patricia is missed by family and friends, near and far.
