Obituary

Patricia "Patty" Brown, passed away at age 87 at Forest Ridge Senior Care Center, Woodland Park, Colorado on August 7, 2023.

She was born July 30, 1936, in Colorado Springs to Lowell and Margret Collins.

Pat was raised in West Colorado Springs, her father Lowell owned and operated Collins Auto Repair and sales located on So. Nevada Ave. Pat enjoyed the mountains of Colorado especially Teller County where the family has (to this day) a small ranch. She loved the outdoors, fishing, skiing, and camping with her husband Marvin and children Danny and Jerry.

In her younger years, Pat moved around with her husband who worked as a telephone office installer in Colorado and Utah for Western Electric Co. then eventually settled in Northern Colorado Springs in the late 1960’s.

Pat sold Avon for nearly 25 years in the Austin Bluffs area. Pat and Marvin relocated to Teller County in 1985 where she was surrounded by nature and good “mountain folk”. She enjoyed volunteering at the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument for many years and spent many years volunteering with various animal rescue centers. She often loved dogs more than people but always took time for a glass of wine and good conversation with friends and family.

Pat is survived by her eldest son Danny Brown. She was a proud grandmother of Morgan, Micah, Derek, Travis, Kirstie and Karlie Brown, She also had seven great grandchildren; Louise and Esme, Kapri, Remy and Leland, Danny and Chevy.

Memorial time and place to be announced.
