Michael David Halstead

Michael David Halstead, of Lake George, Colorado passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully and went to heaven.
 
Michael was born to (the deceased) Carol Ann (Hammond) and Frank David Halstead on March 20, 1969 in Gold Beach, Oregon. Michael graduated from  Kimball High School in Kimball, NE in 1987. In 1991 he went to trucking school and has been driving ever since.
 
Michael loved to drive trucks. In all the years driving he has never had an accident or speeding ticket. He passed away doing what he loved in his truck with his dog,  Chance by his side guarding him. Michael also loved living in the mountains, with his horses & dogs on the ranch. That is what made him enjoy life so much. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to everyone he met. He is up in heaven with his mom and dad, and his high school sweetheart.
 
Michael is survived by his best friend and business partner of over 27 years, Steven Cape, Sister, Danyle Ann Blanche (Halstead) (Dave), and Godchildren, Julia Ann (Justin Owens) and Nathan David Lytle, Brother Scott Halstead, Jeffrey (Marcella) Whitman, Peter Halstead, Patrick (Kate) Halstead, Nephew Gage (Beka) Halstead, and several loving nieces & nephews, cousins and friends. And Michael's girlfriend of 10 years Cathy Martinez of Montpelier, Idaho.
