Mary Ann Brost, 85 years old, lived in Teller County over 35 years, passed away on March 9, 2022. She was born in Wisconsin on February 27, 1937. She is survived by her husband Harry G. Brost Jr., married on July 3, 1958, (they were married for 63 years), sons Michael J. Brost and his wife Dagmar Brost, Timothy J. Brost and her daughter Corinne M. Thomas and her husband Stanley S. Thomas, one sister, Kay Arnold along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and an older brother.
Mary Ann was a military spouse and she was very proud of the service she provided to her husband while he was on active duty. She followed him throughout his entire service time of 20 years plus and they moved over 20 times. She took care of three children while she worked and moved both inside and outside the United States. In her later years she worked full time in Cripple Creek and enjoyed what she did before she retired.
She loved reading, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and most of all animals. She was a very strong and loving wife, mother and friend. She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.
We will miss her but know she will be with us in our hearts each and every day.
There will be no service and Mary Ann asked in lieu of flowers please make donations to TCRAS or Little Chapel Food Pantry.
