Mary Katherine Scott

Mary Katherine Scott, 58, of Divide, Colorado, passed away on September 12, 2021, after a brave battle with breast cancer. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on July 27, 1963 to Edwin and Joann Martin in Alexandria, Louisiana, where she was raised. In 1986, she met David Scott, and they wed in 1987, going on to have two children. As a family, they lived in Arizona, Hawaii, Ohio and Utah. Mary and David retired and settled in Divide, Colorado where she enjoyed a beautiful life in the mountains. She enjoyed crafting, spending time with her family and studying the bible. Mary was an incredibly faith-driven woman and always found strength and peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary is survived by her husband- David Scott (Divide, Colorado); Children- Krystie Coscarelli and husband Jerry (Niceville, Florida), Brandon Scott and wife Rachael (Denver, Colorado); Grandsons Austin Coscarelli (April 2021) and Baby Scott due in October; Parents Edwin and Joann Martin (Boyce, Louisiana); Siblings- Michael (Tina) Martin (Boyce, Louisiana), Michele (Russell) Snider (Boyce, Louisiana), sister-in-law Tammy (Richard) Stewart (Alamagoro, New Mexico) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her brother, Malcom, and sister-in-law Sylvia Martin (Boyce, Louisiana) and father and mother-in-law, Carl and Lena Scott (Walsh, Colorado).

Grave-side funeral service will be held at Divide Cemetery in Divide, Colorado on September 17, 2021 at 2pm and reception to be held at the home she shared with David. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Cancer Society in Marys name.
