Lori Michelle (Freeto) Ring

Lori Ring Obituary

On May 19, 2025, Lori Michelle Ring lost her battle with brain cancer and passed away at Pikes Peak Hospice Hospital.  Lori was one of four children of Ralph Reed Freeto (deceased) and Diana Deane (Freeto) Melching.  She lived the early part of her life in California and moved to Colorado in 1993.  She is survived by two sisters, Wendy (Freeto) Parker and Tami (Freeto) Bartling, both of whom live in California. She also has a brother, Kevin Freeto, who lives in Oregon. Lori’s mother (Diana) and step-father (Howard) currently live in Florissant, Colorado.  Lori is also survived by her son (Connor Freeto) who was born in 1991 and lives in Colorado. 

Lori is also survived by her two previous husbands, Allen Ring and Michael Betka. 

Lori has three grandchildren, Dalilah and Xander (who live in Wisconsin) and Harper          who lives in Washington.

Lori has six cousins:  Cynthia Pursley, David Brown, Tina Grant, Ronnie Freeto, Kim Rayburn, and Shannon Freeto.   She also has eight nieces and nephews (Jason Freeto, Astrel Gonzales, Brianna Gonzales, Brandon Parker, Bryan Parker, Brelen Parker, Tanner Bartling, and Chance Bartling).

Lori was a very kind and loving person who had a particular affection for all animals, both domestic and wild. She also enjoyed various crafts, especially beadwork. She was dearly loved by all of her working associates.

Lori graduated in 1979 from Newport Mesa Evening High School in Costa Mesa, California,  She also earned a certificate in 1980 as a Nurse’s Aide from Washoe Medical Center, Reno, Nevada. In addition, Lori was a Licensed Registered Dental Assistant in California having earned a diploma in 1984 from the South California College of Medical and Dental Careers.

Lori had a varied work history beginning in 1982.  She spent six years as a Human Resources/Personnel Assistant for Sharon Rotondo at Great Western Real Estate, Santa Ana, California.  Lori was also a sales associate for several businesses in both California and Colorado; a food service worker for the Estes Park, Colorado, School District, a Health Assistant for Simmons Elementary School, Garden Grove, California,  and as an Admissions clerk for the Estes Park Medical Center.  In addition, Lori was a production assistant for Quality Science Labs, Lake George, Colorado, and a cashier for City Market (Kroger), Woodland Park, Colorado.

Lori will be missed by all those who knew her.  She was a gift, a steadfast friend, defender of those who were disadvantaged, a devout Christian, and devoted to her family. 

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at Community Fellowship of Christians, Lake George, CO.  A lunch will follow the service.
