Ms. Linda W. Hutchinson went home to be with her blessed Lord and Savior on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family thanks to excellent in-home care from Compassus Hospice.
Linda was born on January 14, 1944, in Tifton, GA to Roy B. and Estelle Stripling Watson. She moved to Dalton, Georgia later in life and attended Little Prospect Baptist Church where she played piano, organ, and taught Sunday school. She worked in medical records at Dalton Family Practice until she retired in 2010. She then moved to Woodland Park, Colorado, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law for over 15 years. She volunteered for a few years at the Woodland Park Senior Center and was a faithful member of Highland Bible Church. Linda was a wonderful mother and a good friend. She was best known for her quiet, gentle demeanor and sweet smile. Though she was little of stature, she was a giant in her faith and a blessing to many. That faith has now become sight, and she will dwell joyfully in the house of her Lord forever.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bobby Watson; and a sister, Mary Walden. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Buck Dugger, and nephew Steve Banister.
A memorial service for Linda will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 2pm at Highland Bible Church in Woodland Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift in honor of Linda to Compassus Hospice in Colorado Springs, CO.
