Kevin Joseph Dowling

Kevin Dowling, aged 61, of Florissant, CO, passed from this earth and went to be with Jesus on January 1, 2026. He was born on February 12, 1964 to Donald and Elizabeth Dowling in Brooklyn, New York.

Kevin was employed as a plumber and skilled as a carpenter and other trades. In recent years, he worked as a handyman and often donated his services to help others.

He graduated as a minister from Charis Bible College-Woodland Park. While there, he and Rachel served to run the Bread Ministry at Charis. They also started In Jesus Ministries offering food and assistance in the surrounding area. Kevin also volunteered at the Aspen Mine Center in Cripple Creek, CO.

Kevin’s pride and joy was his wife, Rachel Dowling, of 34 years. Together they were bonded in ministry and touched many lives. They were often seen throughout Teller County in stores and restaurants encouraging whoever they met with kindness, laughter and love. Kevin was eager to share their testimony and the Gospel of Jesus as often as possible.

This humble man would say that his greatest accomplishment was accepting Jesus as his Savior. He pursued the Lord faithfully and was stubbornly determined to rise every time he fell.

Cooking and hosting meals with fellowship was a favorite for Kevin. He also loved to fish, but not often enough! Kevin had a great sense of humor and once admitted that he had definitely “kissed the Blarney stone”. He truly loved to make people laugh. He was a champion for the lost and hurting.

Kevin was well known for being a kind and generous friend to those in need.

A memorial celebrating Kevin’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00pm at Impact Church, Woodland Park, CO.
