Kathy J. (Swayne) Taylor

Kathy J Taylor (nee: Swayne), 67, passed peacefully Friday, April 26, 2019 at her home in Divide CO. from an aggressive cancer.  She was born April 4, 1952 in Fort Collins, CO. She grew up in Colorado Springs, graduated from Wasson High and received her BA and teaching certificate from the University of Colorado CS. She taught for 27 years at Monterey Elementary School. Upon retiring from school district #2, she joined the Pikes Peak Library System and worked in several libraries throughout the area.

Kathy was a creative person who loved crafts, writing and games, but her true joy came from her tireless service work. She helped many, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Brooke Taylor; son, John Wedler; daughter, Tanya Wehrsig; grandchildren, Mia and Kai Wehrsig, brothers, Douglas and John Swayne, and many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her Mother, Dorothy R Swayne (nee: Raynor) (2001), Father, Loren D Swayne (1974) and brother, Glenn Swayne (2011).

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday May 4 at Community Church, 800 Valley View Dr., Woodland Park, 80863. A pot luck will follow.
