Julie Holmes Greiner, 47, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 in her home in Woodland Park, Colorado.

Julie was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, May 25th, 1972 to Tom Holmes and Linda Gulsby.  She grew up in Pensacola, Fl and graduated from Woodham High School.  She earned her Bachelors Degree In Psychology from the University of West Florida in 1995. She married Bill Greiner, CDR, USN Ret.  in 1998.  They have 2 daughters Sydney and Lauren.  Julie and Bill lived all over the east coast but seemed to always return to Florida.  They were stationed in Pensacola, FL 3 times, Jacksonville, FL, Norfolk, VA, Newport, RI, and finally Colorado Springs, CO, where Bill retired in 2016.  Julie graduated from the Beth El school of Nursing in 2016 with a 4.0 GPA and fulfilled her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse.  She drew upon her nursing and Psychology degrees and was a founding member of the Memorial Hospital Hope Unit in Colorado Springs where she cared for patients with major heath issues with simultaneous addiction withdrawal.  In 2019 she was drawn to hospice care and joined Solaris Healthcare as a Nurse Case Manger in Teller County Colorado.  She was always drawn to helping others and found her calling in hospice.  She was a shining example to everyone, especially Sydney and Lauren, with her hard work and dedication.  She was an avid photographer and loved genealogy.  She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Julie is survived by daughters Sydney Nicole Greiner (20) of Durango, CO, and Lauren Elizabeth Greiner (16) of Woodland Park, CO; Husband Bill Greiner of Woodland Park, CO;  Mother Linda Gulsby of Pensacola, FL; Father and step mother Tom and Sherry Holmes of Millington, TN;  Brothers Andrew and Brandon Holmes of Roscoe, TX; Uncle and aunt Jim and Sharon Gulsby of Dothan, AL; Cousins Jim and Beth Gulsby and their daughter Jessica of Tallahassee, FL.  She is predeceased by her step father Jim Helland of Mobile, AL.
