James Edward Halloran, 71, of Colorado Springs, CO died on May 10, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado, following a short hospital stay and a lifelong battle with heart disease.

He was born on September 25, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, to James C. Halloran and Edna Dailey Halloran.

Jim is survived by his spouse and partner of 66 years, Kim Lazorishak Halloran; his son, Sean Halloran, and daughter-in-law, Samantha Ketcham Halloran, all of Colorado Springs; and his sister, Marie Halloran Kreidler, and her husband, Leo Kreidler, of North Canton, Ohio, along with their three children Heidi, Kevin and Brian and families.

Service to others was the backbone of Jim’s life. He first answered that calling in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a Security Policeman and being stationed in Texas, California, South Dakota, and Colorado, with overseas assignments in England, Germany, and Greenland. Colorado eventually became home, where Jim and Kim were blessed to enjoy a view of Pikes Peak each day. He continued his commitment to community through a long career in law enforcement from reserve officer to Commander with the Woodland Park Police Department. He built lifelong friendships and was proud to serve the mountain town he loved.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
