Inez Diane (Maffet) Ripley, 82, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023, at her home in Woodland Park, CO. With her daughter Sherry and her grandson Cody by her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Diane was born in Pueblo, CO, on February 20, 1941, to Paul Henry Maffet and Mildred Lucille (Roberts) Maffet. She lived in Pueblo until the 8th grade when her family moved to Monument. The property that her parents bought in Monument was sold to the Air Force and is now part of the Air Force Academy. After they sold the property in Monument, her family moved to Woodland Park. Where she graduated in 1959. On August 22, 1959, she married George “Bill” Ripley at her parents' home in Woodland Park. She worked at Park State Bank and Trust for 38 years as a teller. She loved living in the mountains of Colorado and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Laurie (Chuck Ruzkowski) Miller, William “Bill” Ripley, Sherry (Jamie) Schumacher, and Julie Sampson. Her grandchildren: Kendra (Kevin) Sosa, Jared Miller, Aaron Miller, Tarah Miller, Krystal (Robert) Helmer, Lynde (Levi) Martin, Cody Ripley, Hayden Lenhart, Kinsey Lenhart, Shelby Sims, and Kyla Schumacher. Her great-children Karter, Kathan and Charlotte Sosa, Eloise Miller, Parker, Everlett, Trillium, and Sapphire Helmer, Tyson Pasqualetto, Gregg and Lily Martin, Olivia-Ann and Bexleigh Ripley, Deacon Lenhart, and Scarlett and Dallas Sims. Her sister Paula Holeman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her daughter Robin, and her great-grandson Tryston.
