Henry Sterling Nelson (Hank), 78, of Divide, Colorado passed away Sunday, January 17,1921, in a car accident.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 12, 1942. His parents were Henry and Helen Nelson. There were seven children and Hank was the baby of the family.
He came close to getting married but he never did. He did however raise his great nephew, Kenneth Henry Bretag. He did finish his first year in college in Illinois. He worked in the personnel office at Helene Curtis. Most of his life he worked as a house painter.
About 18 years ago, He started working for the Work Force Center at the Aspen Mine Center in Cripple Creek. He loved people and he tried to help in any way he could. He had a beautiful deep voice. Most people knew him as Hank.
Hank is survived by his great nephew Kenneth Bretag, Divide, Colorado; his sister Sheila Nelson, Divide, Colorado; his brother Norman Nelson, Plano, Texas; his Nephew Ed (Linda) Bretag, Florissant, Colorado; his Nephew Ken Bretag, Divide, Colorado and many more in Chicago.
There will be a memorial service at The Little Chapel of the Hills on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
