Henry Lundy Obituary

Henry R Lundy Jr. (Hank), 72, passed away on March 15, 2026 at Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs due to a heart attack. He was a resident of Woodland Park since the fall of 2014.

Hank was born in Niagara Falls, New York in 1954. He had a sister, Leloni, born in 1953 and a brother, Lance, born in 1955. Needless to say, they were quite the handful. Their grandmother, “Hota”, and great grandmother, Margaret Lewis, corralled the trio while Elaine worked. She remarried in 1960 to Gene Belstraz – and the tribe moved all over the US for years. In 1961, Gene & Elaine completed the family when Cindy was born in Neosho, Missouri. They settled into the western New York area in time for high school, where Hank met his future wife, Valerie. The two started dating when they were 15, ultimately marrying.

Hank was always a very positive man. He was never daunted by having to change plans. He pretty much could fix anything and would talk your ear off. Favorite activities were golf, football, hockey, scuba diving, boating, water skiing, sailing, and being silly. He was also an exceptional woodturner, and he called every item created a “friend”.

Hank is survived by his wife, Valerie; his children Alyssa Kersch & husband Kevin and Bradford Lundy; Grandchildren Kaiden & Klara Kersch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Boards and Barrels Restaurant in Woodland Park, Colorado on April 12, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
