James Glenn Sonnenberg, age 70, found peace at his home in Woodland Park, Colorado on April 28, 2026. Glenn was born July 30, 1955 in Hillsboro, Texas to Harold James (Jim) and Murlene Sonnenberg. He was married to Sarah Holloway in 1981. They had two daughters, Evan and Kristin. 

Glenn was employed as a computer operations analyst at Mobil Oil in Dallas for many years and later worked in realty in Woodland Park. Throughout his life, Glenn was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, raising animals, waterskiing, and snow skiing.  He especially found rewarding his volunteer work with the Ski Cooper ski patrol, where he served for 10 years and was awarded Patroller of the Year in 2002. Beekeeping, mushroom foraging, gardening, saltwater aquariums, and gold prospecting were also among his many talents.

Glenn is survived by his wife Sarah, daughters Evan, Kristin and their families, grandchildren Jameson, Koen, Meira, brother Mike (& Dawn), sister Kelley, and several nieces and nephews. 

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
