Glenn Scheu Obituary

GLENN PATRICK SCHEU, passed from this world on March 30, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Glenn was born on September 4, 1980, only son to Glenn Francis Scheu in Booten, New Jersey.

After a move to Rock Hill, South Carolina, Glenn met his soulmate Constance Charmaine Olmsted and the two joined their lives together on March 28, 2010, amid tornadoes and local windstorms.  Their adventures together brought them many exciting experiences and took them to many different locales.  In a leap of faith, they moved to Cripple Creek, Colorado in the summer of 2010.  Their lives were blessed with the birth of their son, Sir Francis Robert Scheu on June 3, 2011.

Glenn found his life and happiness in the mountains of Cripple Creek, Colorado.  Here he perfected his culinary skills and after working in several area casinos, became the head chef at Winfield’s located in the Double Eagle Hotel and Casino.  His third son, Fourster Law Scheu was born on November 13, 2015.  Unfortunate circumstances resulted in Fourster going to God on Palm Sunday, March 20, 2016.  The family decided to try a life change in Florida, but hurricanes and his love of the high mountains brought them back to Cripple Creek.  Here, while creating fabulous 5-star recipes and desserts to delight customers and friends, Glenn also found his creative side.  As an artist, he began creating acrylic pours.  At first, distributing them to family and friends, he broadened his clientele and created a website.  Glenn found the most happiness in his son, Sirr.  They spent many hours together working on making bows, and arrows and working on survival skills.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Constance C. Scheu; and his immediate family, sons Glenn Scheu, Jr., Sirr Scheu; stepson Chase Mason McLeod; father-in-law, Robert “Nick” Olmsted and mother-in-law, Jean Olmsted; sister-in-law, Angela M. Olmsted and her husband, Kelly Brock; nieces, Kayla Minasi, Sierra Olmsted, Nallani Olmsted and nephew, John Brock. He is pre-deceased by his son, Fourster Law Scheu, and his father, Glenn Francis Scheu. Glenn was loved by many friends and relatives alike, all of whom are too numerous to mention.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Conference Room at the Double Eagle Hotel and Casino on April 11, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest quietly in a family location in the mountains that he loved.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of his life.  Glenn will always be in our hearts with his Heineken or Guinness in hand, quiet humor, engaging smile, quick wit, and wonderful culinary delights.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made for the further education of his son, Sirr.  Please contact Josh Maestas at Community Bank of Colorado, Cripple Creek, Colorado.

“We will figure it out. We always do.” Glenn P. Scheu, Sr. (1980-2023)
