George Raymond Kenwell

George Raymond Kenwell, 87, of Florissant, Colorado passed away on January 11, 2025

George was born in Port Huron, Michigan on June 21, 1937 to Eldon Clarence Kenwell and Edna Maude (Biekel) Kenwell.

George graduated from Alpena High School on June 8, 1956.  After high school he attended MAC NCO Academy, Norton AFB, CA and graduated on October 31, 1979.  He served in the US Airforce as an aviation mechanic until retirement.

George was first married to Norma Jean, October 10, 1964 to September 2, 1965.  George later married Maureen Applequist, September 25, 1970 to October 25, 1994; and married Erika H. Curlin, September 14, 1997 to August 10, 2018.

George loved wildlife, working on helicopters, gardening, working outdoors and fishing.  He built his dream home in Florissant, CO in 1997.

George is survived by his stepchildren: Dean Applequist, Jodi Alford, Verena Boswell, Irene F. Curlin, Carol A. Corpuz and James R. Curlin; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
