Elvis Gregory Obituary

Elvis Aaron Gregory, age 47, of Woodland Park, Colorado, graduated to heaven on January 14, 2025.  He was born on January 10, 1978, in Chico, California, a son of Rocky and Kay Gregory.

Elvis spent most of his childhood growing up in Red Bluff, California, playing little league baseball and enjoying the outdoors.  In high school, Elvis discovered his new passion for working on cars when he received a gift of a Volkswagen Beetle.

Elvis graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1996 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to begin a career as an Automotive Technician.  Elvis had a strong desire to perfect his talent and achieved several ASE certifications and promotions.  His biggest award was Technician of the Year for Meineke.

In 2010, he was able to escape the big city to live in the outdoors he loved so much as a child.  He moved to Woodland Park and enjoyed all the aspects of mountain living.  Every year, he spent the late summer and early fall logging firewood in Pike National Forest.  But his true mission, in the forest, was to find the perfect Christmas tree to bring home every December.

During the spring and summer months, Elvis loved to spend his evenings on the softball fields of Woodland Park, Divide, and Cripple Creek.  Elvis’ skill, charisma and fun-loving attitude will be remembered at the ball field for years.

Elvis is survived by his loving parents, Rocky and Kay, his sister Deana, brother James and sister-in-law Ginny.  He will also be missed and remembered by his four nephews and four nieces.  Elvis’ memory will be cherished by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members spread across the west in Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington.

Elvis was predeceased by his sister, Shannon Gregory, 1981-2003.

A memorial service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, February 1st, at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home in Divide, Colorado.  Interment will be in Woodland Park Cemetery.

Thank you to everyone who chose to be a part of Elvis’ life.  He cared deeply for the people he was close to and was fiercely protective of his friends and family.  His quick wit, satirical smile, and work ethic will never be forgotten.
