Edward Anderson Obituary

Edward Anderson passed away peacefully on November 20, 2019 with his wife, Janice, of 37 years at his side.  Eddie is survived his children Edward Jr. (Janet), Eric (Alice), Stephen (Cora) and Lisa; his sister Dolores and two nephews and Eddie (Karen) and Robert (Jan); his grandchildren Steven, Jessica, Craig, Samantha, Sage and Jack and great grandchildren Mylah, Joshua, Kim, Kevin and Tianna.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Florence, his brother Red, sister-in-law Rose, nephew Rusty and grandson Jacob.

Eddie was born in Jersey City, NJ on November 22, 1935. As a young man Eddie worked in the garment district in New York City.  Later he worked for Ideal Window and Door in Bayonne, NJ for many years. He retired in 2002 and ultimately moved to Sunrise, Florida.

Eddie enjoyed hunting and camping, specially when his children were young.  He traveled in Europe and Caribbean.  He was always ready for a road trip, whether upstate New York, down to Atlantic City or all the way to Colorado to visit family always with his partner Janice at side advising him where to stop. 

He was a big fan of country music, Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton especially.  He loved Westerns, John Wayne, and old monster movies.  He loved watching professional wrestling, his brother Red, sister in law Rose would drive in from out of town to watch at his home.

Eddie was a very helpful if it meant helping someone at Camp Taylor, or later with the older residents in his community in Florida, he was always ready to lend assistance.

Eddie’s ashes will be interred in Colorado, under Pikes Peak, next to his grandson.

He will be missed.
