Dorothy (Dotty) Reavetta Whitworth, 79, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 3, 2025.
Dotty was born June 29th 1946 in Independence, Missouri. Following graduation from Harrisonville High School, Dotty moved to the Colorado Springs area in September 1964 and started a family. Balancing family and work, Dorothy worked in the Emergency Department of Penrose Community Hospital until her retirement in 2008.
Following her service as a care worker to the community, Dotty remained active at home and enjoyed baking, sewing, and caring for her plants. She was also an avid bowler and a Native American art enthusiast, which she enjoyed collecting.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William Whitworth and Doris Louise Whitworth (nee Morain), and numerous siblings. Dotty is survived by her daughter Sherri L. Beeh-Luther, one grandchild, Philip Luther, both of Colorado, and her son, Christopher H. Beeh of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by two brothers, James and Floyd Butner of Colorado, one sister Georgia Leasure of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
Dotty was a joy as a daughter, a loving mother, a wonderful aunt and a caring friend who will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
