Donald Richard Weidner, 74, of Florissant Colorado, passed away at home on August 10, 2021. Don was born January 14, 1947 to the late Richard and Lucille Weidner of Racine Wisconsin.
Don is survived by his wife Ellen of 53 years. He is also survived by their 9 children: Ben (Hanna) of Kendallville IN, Rebecca of Imperial MO, Peter (Susan) of DeSoto MO, Seth (Khristy) of Barnhart MO, Micah (Sabrina) of Oostburg WI, Sam (Julia) of Northglenn CO, Daniel (Whitney) of Aurora CO, Luke (Lindsey) of St. Peters MO, and Elizabeth (Tyler) Zander of Chatham IL. In addition, Don is survived by a brother Tim (Janice) and family, sister Nancy (Phil) Gardanier, 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Don dedicated his life to the Lord as a Lutheran School teacher and principal at many schools throughout his career in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado. Don and Ellen met and married while attending Concordia Teachers College in River Forest IL. Don loved to spend time with his family, tell jokes, play cards, and go fishing.
A memorial service for Don will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at 11:00 am followed by internment at Lutheran Valley Ranch, Ranch House, 13 Ellison Road, Florissant, CO 80816.
