Donald Hardesty, 68, of Divide, Colorado, peacefully passed away on December 27, 2023. Born on September 26, 1955, in Arizona, Donald, known affectionately as Don, embodied the virtues of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation. He was a hardworking and soft-spoken individual whose gentle soul touched the lives of many.
Don found solace and joy in his hobbies, particularly riding his Harley and dedicating himself to improving his home. Through these pursuits, he embraced the beauty of the natural world, recognizing the divine presence in every aspect of creation.
In his journey through life, Don was a beacon of kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His selfless nature and unwavering dedication to others serve as a testament to his character.
Don leaves behind his beloved wife, Diahann Hardesty, who stood by his side throughout their shared journey. He is also survived by his siblings: Jim Walker of Anaheim, CA; Mary Schmidt (Cecil) of Spearville, KS; Phillip Hardesty (Deanne) of Wichita, KS; and Melissa Hatfield (Dennis) of Parkville, MO.
In the embrace of eternity, Don reunites with his parents, Sam and Merlene Hardesty, and his siblings: Sam Hardesty Jr, Sandra Pritchett, Effie Walker, Jack Hardesty, Hubert Hardesty, and Bernice Legleiter. Their spirits remain intertwined, forever connected by the love they shared.
A solemn memorial service, guided by the principles of reverence and gratitude, will be held to honor Don's remarkable life. Join us on January 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM, as we gather at the sacred grounds of Mountain Memorial Funeral Home in Divide, CO. The compassionate staff of the funeral home will guide us through this sacred ceremony.
