Daniel S. Rychwalski Jr. Obituary
Daniel S Rychwalski Jr, son of Daniel S. and Patricia (Derwin) Rychwalski Sr born March 6, 1958 is now in eternity with his heavenly Father. He and his wife were in Woodland Park, CO at the time of death, April 23, 2026.
Dan loved Jesus and chose to live his life in pursuit of knowing Him.
He married the love of his life, Carolyn Huntley, on October 19, 2019, in Naples, Florida. While they were in Woodland Park, CO, as Carolyn attended Charis Bible College, he was her number one supporter.
He owned an automotive body repair business most of his life, working alongside his father (Pops) and his brother, Dave, for many years. Eventually, he purchased the business, D & P Auto Body, from his parents who started it in Wisconsin. The business later relocated to Naples, Florida and Morganton, Georgia.
Dan enjoyed building hot rods and motorcycles and was currently crafting a 1967 Ford Bronco for his wife, Carolyn, who will proudly drive it in his honor and memory.
Born and raised in Greenfield, Wisconsin, into a family of seven children, Dan graduated from Greenfield High School in 1977. He had the honor of holding the state 180 high hurdles championship that same year, a record that remains unbeaten. Shortly after high school he moved to Naples where he lived for 46 years.
Dan was always willing to try new things; once he set his mind to something, he succeeded. He was a model, artist, private investigator, and owned various businesses. He taught himself to play drums, restore, customize, and build vehicles. He and his Pops had the honor of restoring a pedal car for Shirley Temple.
He loved traveling, boating, driving his Harley, playing drums and collecting metal toy trucks, pedal cars and vintage signage.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, bonus children Brett (Catherine) Huntley, Nikki and Jade Roddy, Mother Patricia Rychwalski (deceased May 2, 2026), siblings Laura Heineck, David (Patricia) Rychwalski, Kim Jans, Ruth (Mike) Blevins and Carol (Mike) Fleming as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Pops, Daniel S. Rychwalski Sr, his sister Geral Dunn, and brother-in-law Ronald Heineck.
2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if this earthly tent is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built with human hands.
