Cole E. Soczek

Cole E. Soczek, age 24, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully, leaving behind family members, friends, and others whose lives were touched by his presence. His time with us was far too short, yet he leaves a lasting imprint on those who knew him. Cole was a Teller County kid at heart. He grew up and lived here, in Divide and Woodland Park, which he has always called home. Above all, he was passionate about camping and fishing in our beautiful mountains.

Cole approached life in his own way. He had a spark that appeared in his unexpected humor, a sharp observation, and a unique approach to life that revealed more depth than he often showed. He was still discovering who he was and who he hoped to become, carrying dreams that were just beginning to take shape.

He will be remembered for the qualities that made him uniquely himself:
   • his bright smile
   • his intensity when talking about something that mattered to him
   • his ability to find his own rhythm within the many branches of his recomposed family

Cole is the person that would spend his last dime, and go hungry himself, to make sure a friend would be fed. Everyone who has ever met Cole could feel his loving energy. Those who knew him will carry forward the memory of his kindness and generosity, his quirks, his potential, and how he brightened any room he entered.

Cole is survived by his father, his mother, his step‑parents, one sister and brother-in-law, step‑brothers from both sides of his family, his grand‑mother, aunts and uncles.
