Claudia Pauloo Obituary

Claudia Pauloo, a cherished mother, grandmother and a lifelong animal advocate, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 20, 2025, leaving a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched with her spirit and wisdom.

She was the loving mother of Jocelyn Rosado, mother-in-law to Tony Rosado, and grandmother to Alyx Rosado, who brought joy and pride into her life. Claudia is now reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Jim Pauloo, who preceded her in death in February 2019 after many years of marriage.

Claudia had a deep, abiding love for all animals and a remarkable gift for sharing that love with everyone she met. Throughout her life, she provided a compassionate home to an extraordinary variety of animals—including horses, goats, chickens, ducks, pigeons, parakeets, rabbits, dogs, and cats—and she delighted in introducing others to them. Her home and heart were always open to friends and neighbors.

Claudia grew up in Marin County, California, where she left an indelible mark on her community through her many years of leadership with the Marin County 4-H horse group.

An accomplished horsewoman and trainer, she devoted herself to teaching with thorough instruction, tireless dedication, and a heartfelt commitment to education. Through her guidance, countless children and adults learned to ride, care for horses, and cultivate their own lifelong appreciation for these remarkable animals. Her influence continues to live on in every equestrian she encouraged and every life she touched. Upon retirement Claudia and Jim relocated themselves, their beloved horse Kojax, dog Penny, and several pigeons to the Pikes Peak region of Colorado to be closer to family and to continue to serve the community.

Claudia was a faithful servant of God, guided throughout her later life by a deep and enduring spiritual conviction. She was a longtime member of her local Bible Study group, where she found fellowship, strength, and joy in shared devotion. Her commitment to her faith was further reflected in her dedicated practice of Christian Science, which shaped her outlook, grounded her and offered her continual comfort and purpose.

Claudia will be remembered for her wisdom, her unwavering devotion to the creatures she loved, and the friendship and warmth she brought to all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing and may she and her beloved Jimmy rest together in everlasting peace.

Claudi's service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2 pm at the Pikes Peak Community Center in Divide.
